  2. I'm a designer and having my pieces shown in my first fashion show. Any designer etiquette tips?

    I'm wondering specifically how order taking is conducted after the show, or if it is done at all. We have a website and will be giving promotional books to each person attending the show, but I'm wondering how we should handle taking orders after the show is over. Do people really write checks? Should we create some sort of order form? Or is it acceptable to direct them to our website?

    Newspapers have long been reluctant to make changes on the comics pages. Fear drives that reluctance in most cases, I believe. Readers become attached to comic strips and woe is the editor who tells them it’s time to move on to something else.

  8. Is it mandatory to use MICR ink (magnetic ink) for printing checks at home.?

    I want to print checks for my printing business. My bank told me I need to use magnetic ink. Is this true or can regular inkjet ink do the trick. I think magnetic ink only make their jobs easier and that they WANT you to buy the checks printed by check companies. I dont see the difference personally. But if there is someone out there with this knowledge, please let me know.
